The original PlayStation was one of the best selling consoles of all time, but there are many games for a system that is difficult to find. Some of these PS1 games are extremely rare and expensive. The following is a list of the rarest Playstation 1 games and the most expensive and why they are very expensive.

Critically acclaimed and rated one of the best RPG on the system. Suikoden 2 sold poorly when released in the beginning though that there were not many copies available relative to the demand. High demand and low supply make this game the most expensive on the PS1.

Action RPG, Valkyrie Profile is difficult to find on the Playstation 1. Has been re-released on the PSP, which helped to stir interest in the original game, and increase the resale prices.

Person has such a cult following in the world RPG. It does not have a huge fan base, but these fans are diehards and pay top dollar for original copies.
